Minua ainakin kiinnostaa tietää kaikenlaista nippelitietoa voitoista, tekniikasta ja vaikka jonkun kilpailun tapahtumista.
Aloitan vaikka tällaisilla pääkohdilla jotka eräs Napolilainen herrasmies minulle keräsi, valitettavasti teksti ei ole suomeksi, joten jos jollain on aikaa ja kiinnostusta niin siitä vain kääntämään. Muutamia vaikeita sanoja siellä on jotka ei minulle auennu.
1925: P2 Champion of the World.

The legendary P2 sees the light in 1924 thank to the work of Vittorio Jano removed from Fiat by Enzo Ferrari. P2 model was planned in great secret in the workshops of “Portobello” (and only six specimens were constructed). Between the technical characteristics of that car must be remembered: supercharged engine, 8 cylinders online, 1987 cm3, 140 CV, 225 Km/h. With great surprise of the adversaries, the debut happens on 9 June of 1924 into 2nd circuit of Cremona, with “Antonio Ascari” as pilot who caught up the average of 158 Km/h. On August the pilot “Giuseppe Campari” won the G.P. of Europe in Lion with and conquering the first 4th absolute places to the Italy G.P. These triumphs carry to the conquest of the first World Championship in 1925.
The P2 will continue to compete and to win inside the category Free Formula until 30’s.
ALFA 6C 1750 G.S. wins ”Mille Miglia” race.

The “Mille Miglia” (means Thousands Miles) was born in December 1926 from the idea of four Italian sportsmen “Giovanni Canestrini, Renzo Castagneto, Aymo Maggi and Franco Mazzotti” and had been the most famous race in the world. On those years, Alfa Romeo prevailed on any circuit of Europe, and among pilots began to emerge great champions like “Nuvolari” and “Varzi”, whose duels fired many funs and any spectators hoped in a direct battle.
The race of 1930’s remained famous because the initial average of 77 Km/h of the first year, arrived to 100,45 km/h, with a ranking where in the first three places there were: Nuvolari, Varzi and Campari. In the contest apart some Alfa cars, there was one “Maserati” and one “Mercedes” that, unfortunately both abandoned for mechanics problems. Therefore, the hoped duel between the red Alfa cars and the two rivals Nuvolari and Varzi became a reality. In the night, according to the story of “Giovanbattista Guidotti” test pilot of Alfa and co-pilot of Nuvolari, moonlight enabling, Nuvolari put off the headlamps in order to hide his surpass towards Varzi. For that, but also because Varzi was obliged to waist 5 min. for repair a tyre, Nuvolari won. Verzi had to wait 4 years to get his revenge.
1975, Alfa 33 TT 12 wins World Championship.

Model 33 was planned for the race in the category Sport Prototypes. The motor was one 8 cylinders V shaped at 90°, with two valves for cylinder and four overhead camshafts, mounted in the back through an only body with the transmission gear and the bridge.
The debut of the first version called "periscope" happened on 1967, 12th March in Belgium, with the participation of “Fléron”, who conquered the absolute victory. On 1968, also the public business version of that car was produced, with motor to 8 cylinders of 2 litres. In 1971 was introduced model 33 TT 3, which had to represent Alfa Romeo in the World-wide Championship in the region Marche. Initially it mounted the same V8 motor of the 33/3, and then replaced in 1973 with an unknown 12 cylinders boxer. The type 33 TT 12 obtains a first success in 1974 while won the World Championship in 1975.
The same version, but with a motor upgraded to 520 CV (12000 turns), won again the Championship in Marches in 1977.
Alfetta.

Two cars - 158 Alfetta and Alfetta 159 - occupy a very important place in the history of motoring sport. From 1938 to 1951, made exception for the war period, they dominated on any world’s tracks. No other racing car had so long life before, even never concluding a race without a victory. The acronym of 158 indicated the capacity (1,5 litres) and the number of cylinders ( 8 ). It was designed from “Gioacchino Colombo” in Modena and its debut happened under the new sport organization directed by “Enzo Ferrari”, on 1938, August 7th, on the Circuit of Montenero (Livorno). Here it conquered the 1st and 2nd absolute place and then also the G.P. of Tripoli, on 40’s. The explosion of the war paralyzed the agonistic activity. Alfetta and the prototype cars were hided in a sure place because those red bolides constituted a technical patrimony of inestimable value. With the resumption of the competitions, on 1946, some modifications to the motor occurred, elevating the power from 225 CV to 255. The Service Experiences, directed from “Gian Paolo Garcea” took care of the preparation and the attendance of Alfetta in the contest. After obtaining the victory on 1946 to the G.P. of the Nations of Geneva, that car was defined as "Our Country’s symbol of the resumption". In the ' 47, after the triumph in the G.P. of Belgium, with “Wimille”, “Varzi” and “Trossi” as pilot in the summit of the classifies, a French journalist wrote: <It seems to go back 22 years behind when, just here to Spa, Alfa Romeo P2 car with Ascari and Campari stopped to the box and the pilots seated to prepared table to eat, so great the advantage towards the adversaries they had in the meanwhile!>. In 1950 the international sport F.I.A. Commission created a new F1 race for single pilot, reserved for cars with motor more than 1500 cm3. It became an extraordinary event and a springboard for the automotive industry. To the beginning, the challenge was an Italian one, just between the red the Alfa Romeoagainst the red Ferrari. Thank to that duel, world-wide knew the great technique of the two houses. 1950 was a great year for Alfetta: 11 absolute victories on 11 G.P. carried Alfa Romeo to be championship of the F1 World racing. In Monza “Giuseppe Farina” was crowed champion of the World while in the 2nd position was Juan Manuel Fangio an Argentine pilot taken by Alfa. In 1951, Alfetta had important improvements and so the name changed in "159". The motor with double phase reached 425 CV to 9300 rev. The chassis was reinforced, the rear-end replaced with the solution type De Dion, the tanks widen to obtain 250 litres and the auto body a bit increased in order to have more dynamism. Alfetta 159 burnt the stages, confirming its qualities and concluded its race prevailing in the G.P. of Barcelona where it conquered the 2nd World Championship with Juan Manuel Fangio.
