Technical Problem about gas injection or pump...

Before to take my Alfa to service i'd like to know the trouble. Somehow, sometimes while i'm driving, when i shift gear to N (empty) car's egine stops (while it's moving).
When i stop the car, if i want to start to engine it's not working. The Bensin Injection light is lighting forever, not disappearing as suppoused to be. After an hour when i try it twice, the engine starts and runs correctly. But it's a big problem in the high traffic in big town such Helsinki.

do you have any idea? can it be electrical problem?

Sounds like electric problem in fuel pump connections or ignition swich connection. Does it anything when you try to start again? I had similar problem in my 75. Connection from ignition switch to fuelpump relay was erored.

thanks for answer. when i try to start engine again (just after the trouble) the engine does not starts. It only starts when you push to car with your body and then start.

but probably same problem which you also had... did you correct the problem by yourself or in service?

i don't think there is something serious such changing parts or anything. i know that DeltaAuto will cost me lot. Check up PC system and change part even if car does not needs. i bet there is a way to correct it ourselves.

Getting it checked with the tester should tell you something as I'm sure there will be something in the memory if the injection light is on. The tester will tell you at least where the problem is.

Aren't there cheaper places for checking the tester than DA? A bosch car service shoud at least be able to check it out, and it is most likely a hell of a lot cheaper than DA

Yes, Ichanged the connector that was not OK. But finding the problem took much time. If you want to find problem by yourself, you maybe need wiring diagram of your car and multimeter (and ofcourse you must have knowledge about electrics). Fixing it's not the problem, but finding it is.

I think it's best to get the car to service, because they can find the problem with PC system. I'm not sure but you can fix the problem by yourself after serviceman has found it with tester.
